Connection or Accomplishment?

Let’s talk about connection vs accomplishment. 

I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately.

I’m an artist at my core.

You’re probably a creative at your core, too.

I don’t really care about accomplishments as much as I care about connection with like-souled, vulnerable humans that speak the same language as me: witchy, weird, woo-woo, deep, honest & authentic. Show me who the f*** you are, not what you’ve done or how certified you are.

I went to Sandhana last weekend to retreat myself before we get together for our R&R Retreat for female biz owners Nov 8th - 10th (less than 2 weeks away) & I’ve been integrating the experience.

Ever since I was born, I’ve CRAVED to connect with people who like and accept me, for me. Well, I had to like and accept me for me first, funny that 😯

I feel overjoyed when I meet someone who is willing to share ALL parts of themselves because in turn, it gives me permission to do the same.

As a coach, I do that with my clients & before they know it, they’re owning and sharing the parts of themselves that historically brought on shame, humiliation and embarrassment. They’re letting the world see all the parts that they were encouraged to hide and tuck away.

Whilst on retreat I cried a million tears, released some big stuff during breath-work, deeply connected to myself and shared so fu***** vulnerably in the circle I wanted to crawl into a hole 🕳️🫨

That night, as I ate a burger with the delightful humans on retreat, I felt lighter.

I felt clearer.

I felt unburdened.

They didn’t judge me, they held space for me, they listened, we all shed a few tears.

I felt connected.

Because I was so honest. It poured out of me in an incredibly safe space and place.

That is my intention for you (those of you who are already coming to Waiheke ‘weeee’) and those of you that would like to unburden yourself from isolation & rumination and into flow and connection, come forth.

Running a business is an absolute trip & connecting in with folks that get it & who live outside of the matrix makes life & creativity feel SO empowering.
