Does Going Back To Your Old Job Scare You?
I see folks pricing their offers way too low. They’d need to sell SO many units in order to break even or make a small living.
I was sitting at a pizzeria this afternoon in Naples enjoying an insane margarita (not the drink) and a cheeky coke in a glass bottle. I started chatting to the folks next to me, one was from Ireland, one from Scotland. 2 hours passed and we talked about everything, from psychology to travel to people being sectioned (she was a forensic psychologist) and I was fascinated. I’ll leave the stories for another day 😵💫
She went on to ask me how I started my business and whether I was afraid? Didn’t it scare me to go into the unknown like that?
I responded like I’ve responded for the last 6 + years.
It was scarier to think about going back to work in tech. To work for someone else. To be in a position of burn out, boring work and soul sucking awfulness.

This is not exactly the most inspiring environment, is it? 😂 this was my office in 2017 - 1 Canada Square, London.
To adhere to rules that made no sense, to play political games within an organisation and to listen to people moan more than solving the problems of their lives. That kind of environment was far scarier than the unknown of how I could make a business work.
I was listening to an audio book about 20 minutes ago and the same realisation occurred to me.
Too many people have coaching and creative businesses, right now, that aren’t making them enough money to live the kind of life they want to live.
Some of said folks have a job and do their coaching as a side gig.
Some of said folks have gone all in and are watching their savings dwindle with dread and anxiety.
Some of said folks have gone all in, with no savings, just debt and live with dread, anxiety and faith that they’ll make it work but don’t actually have a clear road map or support.
The latter, that was me in late 2017 & 2018. For a solid 10 months when I first started. Before I hired my first coach and got help.
If you’re a coach or creative, I can safely guarantee the biggest hurdle you have is pricing your offers. Pricing them so you feel valued, can provide value and the client/customer can receive the solution to their problem.

Are you having trouble pricing your offers?
Do you find yourself selling your stuff by the hour?
Do you constantly think “I am gonna have to go back to my old industry or get a job again”
Are you receiving reoccurring payments in the $100’s not $1,000’s per month?
If so, don’t sweat it, we don’t know what we don’t know.
