Above is a pic of the pad I rented in Venice Beach, LA for the year 2021-2022. I wanna talk about energy when it comes to our businesses and our lives.

End of 2021, single vaccinated against my wishes & brimming with fear, overwhelm, burn out & a lack of inspiration for the world, business and life, I went to LA.

Kind of illegally I suppose, with a vaccine injury letter from the ministry of health & a card that said I’d had one dose and an exemption from a doctor I’d found through a yoga connection online that charged me $180 for 15 minutes 😂

The actual ministry of health in NZ wouldn’t give me a vx injury exemption even though I’d been in hospital for 3 nights. Looking back, those times were so weird…

Anyway.

It was touch and go boarding my flight via Fiji (even though I’d booked business class) because technically, I wasn’t ‘fully vaccinated’ to travel. After a call to the Fiji govt, I got to board the plane because there was a ministry of health letterhead on the generic vaccine injury letter I was sent by some random govt official that was enough for the Fiji govt to let me on. Thankfully I’d printed that along with the other documents.

It’s safe to say all I had was faith that I’d be able to get out of the country and over to LA where things were a lot lighter than both NZ & Aus at the time.

I was also unsure what I’d be greeted with once actually landing in the US and I couldn’t believe it when I went through security, the dude behind the counter said “Yo, Merry Christmas, welcome to LA”. I walked out to the uber stand shocked. No checking of vx passports, no interrogating.

California was the only place that had ever really felt like home to me, so it made sense to head there, honestly, anywhere was better than where I was.

Why am I telling you this?

Because sometimes, we’re running on faith and faith alone.

We’re running on trust. 

We’re running on - well, I surrender, I’ll do my part, but this better work out. We can get all of our power, energy, desire and will behind a single decision or outcome.

Anytime in my life where I’ve been like I am only available for x outcome.

x outcome has become available for me. 

The scholarship to the US.

My job at Revolut.

My job at Pinterest.

My job at Dropbox.

My apartment I got in San Francisco after 46 average Craigslist viewings.

My apartment in Melbourne.

The house I bought in 2015.

The pad in LA.

My place in Queenstown.

My current home on Waiheke Island.

and…

the list goes on.

Manifestation, calling in what you want, reigniting your business spark, aligning your offers, making money - all of it requires one thing.

Not settling.

and of course, energy.

Not settling, paired with energy, paired with faith is an unshakable combination.

In order for this unshakable combination to work, we must…

Let go, first.

That’s the part people rarely do, so they rarely get what they want.

I’m also really big on closing things out energetically so when I was in my business class seat, en route to LA, I paid off the balance of my student loan, closed my laptop & felt a sense of completion.

I’m very big on drawing lines in sand and we’ll be going over that tomorrow, too.
