What have you truly loved thus far? What has uplifted your soul?

Hey

I’ve been reading The Second Mountain (I started reading it earlier this year then headed abroad).

I wanted to share an excerpt with you that I feel is AWESOME.

'Nietzsche wrote that the way to discover what you were put on earth for is to go back into your past, list the times when you felt most fulfilled, and then see if you can draw a line through them.

Let the young soul survey its own life with a view to the following question:

‘What have you truly loved thus far? What has uplifted your soul, what has dominated and delighted it at the same time?’

Assemble these revered objects in a row before you and perhaps they will reveal a law by their nature and their order: the fundamental law of your very self.”

An annunciation moment is that it gives you an early hit on where your purpose lies. The next best thing is it rules out a bunch of other things.

“Lucky is the man who does not secretly believe that every possibility is open to him.”

I have a YouTube video that touches on this very topic. There’s some journal prompts for you, too.

Forward this to a friend who may need it 💫
